Careers
Our mission is to make software that builds buildings
Consight turns plans, specs, and bid forms into leveled scope in minutes. We’re a small team building for estimators who carry real budget risk — and we’d like your help.
Now hiring across the United States
Join a team of builders. We’re looking for people who’ve lived the bid process and want to fix it for every estimator who comes next.
“Working at Consight means sitting next to estimators on deadline, then shipping the fix the same week.”
Our values. Preconstruction runs on trust and detail, so we hold ourselves to the same standard in how we build and how we show up.
Estimators first
We build with the people doing the work, not around them. Technology should strengthen their judgment and keep them in control.
Respect the fundamentals
Estimating runs on accuracy, discipline, and sound judgment. We master those principles before we reinvent the process.
Challenge the status quo
The way it’s always been done isn’t always the best way. We question outdated workflows and needless complexity.
Own the outcome
We take responsibility for results, not just the work, and measure success by the value our customers actually get.
Open positions.
If you want to help estimators level bids faster and catch what others miss, we’d love to hear from you.

01Senior Backend Engineer (AI Pipelines)Remote — United States
Own the pipelines that turn plans, specs, and bid forms into structured scope. You’ll design the extraction, retrieval, and evaluation systems estimators rely on when a deadline is hours away.
What you’ll do
- Design and run the pipelines that pull scope, quantities, and exclusions out of plans, specs, and bid forms
- Build retrieval and evaluation systems so every line on a leveled scope sheet traces back to its source document
- Own reliability, latency, and cost for LLM workloads across OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google models
- Model bid and scope data in PostgreSQL and keep it fast as customers upload thousands of pages
- Join customer calls with estimators and turn what you hear into fixes the same week
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years building production backend systems, ideally in TypeScript and Node.js
- Hands-on experience shipping LLM features: prompting, structured output, evals, and guardrails
- Strong SQL and data-modeling skills
- Comfort owning a problem end to end without much process around you
- Clear written communication. We’re remote-first.
Bonus points
- Experience with document parsing, OCR, or PDF-heavy workflows
- Background in construction, real estate, or another document-heavy industry
Our stack
TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL with Drizzle ORM, serverless on AWS Lambda and Vercel Functions, and LLM APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. Tests in Jest, code on GitHub.

What to expect for the Final Round
If you get through the technical interviews successfully, you’ll have to beat a founder in a 1v1 of The Battle of Polytopia. Start practicing now.
02Full-Stack EngineerRemote — United States
Build the scope sheet, bid leveling, and reporting experiences estimators use every day. You’ll ship across the stack, from data models to polished, fast UI.
What you’ll do
- Build the scope sheet, bid leveling, and reporting screens estimators live in on bid day
- Ship features end to end, from Postgres schema to React UI
- Make large, dense tables feel fast and easy to scan
- Bring LLM-powered features into the product so they feel dependable, not magical
- Write tests, review code, and help shape how we build
What we’re looking for
- 4+ years of full-stack experience with React and TypeScript
- Strong product sense and an eye for detail in UI
- Experience designing SQL data models and APIs
- Comfort with GitHub-based workflows: PRs, reviews, and CI
- Able to pick up new SDKs and APIs quickly from the docs
Bonus points
- Experience with Next.js and React Query
- Familiarity with LLMs and prompt engineering
- Background in construction or real estate
Our stack
React, TypeScript, Next.js, and React Query on the front end. Node.js, PostgreSQL, Drizzle ORM, and serverless on AWS Lambda and Vercel Functions on the back end. LLM APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.

What to expect for the Final Round
If you get through the technical interviews successfully, you’ll have to beat a founder in a 1v1 of The Battle of Polytopia. Start practicing now.
