How the BuildingConnected connection works
The BuildingConnected connection is read-only. Consight copies the project, packages, bids, and files, then adds new items without overwriting your work.
Import a BuildingConnected project
To import a BuildingConnected project, search for it, pick a workspace, and press Import. Consight opens BidGrid, and a repeat import adds only what is new.
What comes in from BuildingConnected
A BuildingConnected import brings in eight things: project details, bid packages, leads, bid form lines, bids, bidder files, bid form PDFs, and contacts.
When new bids and packages arrive
New BuildingConnected bids and packages arrive in Consight on their own, every few seconds with the project open and every 10 minutes when it is closed.
Review bid form updates
Review bid form updates to approve new scope lines on packages you already have. Import adds the new lines only, never changing scope or adding bids or files.
How a revised bid arrives
A revised BuildingConnected bid arrives in Consight as its own bid record and becomes the active version. Earlier revisions are archived and stay available.
Why a BuildingConnected edit did not appear
Consight imports new BuildingConnected items but never updates ones it already holds, so later renames, date changes, deletions, and awards do not appear.
Deleting stops the handoff for good
Deleting an imported BuildingConnected item in Consight stops it coming back, even on re-import. BuildingConnected is untouched, and support can restore it.
BuildingConnected questions and answers
BuildingConnected import questions answered. Consight only reads, adds new items without overwriting your edits, and imports bid forms, files, and contacts.
