What a scope sheet does
A scope sheet lists your scope items down the left and bidders across the top, so you can compare every bid on the same terms and spot gaps and exclusions.
Build your internal estimate
Your internal estimate is the first column of the scope sheet. List the scope you expect, then add quantity, unit, rate, and total to compare it against bids.
Import your scope of work
Import your scope of work from Bluebeam, OST, Excel, or similar tools, and Consight turns each line of your estimate or takeoff into a scope item.
Add, delete, or move a scope item
Add a scope item with the plus button, delete it from the right-click menu, or use Move to send it to another bid package. Undo and Redo are in the toolbar.
Scope items vs. bidder items
Scope items describe the work you intend to buy. Bidder items are lines from each subcontractor's proposal, in their own words. Level Bids connects the two.
Show or hide scope sheet columns
Show or hide scope sheet columns with Manage Columns in the toolbar. A bidder's Response and Notes columns cannot both be hidden, so one always stays visible.
Inclusions, exclusions, alternates, and qualifications
Consight sorts each bid into Inclusions, Exclusions, Alternates, and Qualifications tabs. Check Qualifications even on a low bid, since it often explains why.
Move an item between tabs
Move a misfiled bidder statement to the right tab, such as Inclusions, Exclusions, or Alternates, by right-clicking it and choosing Move. No re-entry needed.
