How cost codes work in Consight
Every Consight bid package is tied to a cost code. You start with a locked CSI MasterFormat list, then copy and edit it or upload your own list instead.
Every bid package is tied to a cost code. When you create a package, you pick it from a code list, and Connie uses the same list when she builds packages for you.
- The default list is CSI MasterFormat. It is locked, so it always stays clean.
- You can copy it and edit the copy to match how your team works.
- You can upload your own list instead and use that.
Find all of this in Templates & Codes, in the app tray in the header.

How cost codes work in Consight
Every Consight bid package is tied to a cost code. You start with a locked CSI MasterFormat list, then copy and edit it or upload your own list instead.
Customize the default CSI cost codes
The default CSI MasterFormat cost codes are locked. Create a copy in Templates & Codes, then add, delete, or edit codes while the original stays untouched.
Upload your own cost code list
Upload your cost code list as a PDF, Word, or Excel file in Templates & Codes, and Consight builds your custom structure. Clear Excel columns import best.
Reuse scope with templates
Save a scope sheet or a list of bid packages as a template in Templates & Codes, then start your next package or project from it instead of rebuilding.
