Build your internal estimate

Your internal estimate is the first column of the scope sheet. List the scope you expect, then add quantity, unit, rate, and total to compare it against bids.

1 min read

The internal estimate is the first column of the scope sheet. It lists what you expect the work to include, and optionally what you expect it to cost.

  1. Add each scope item.
  2. Add quantity and unit where you know them.
  3. Add rate and total to allow direct comparison against bids.

Tip: Scope items alone still work. Quantities and rates just make comparison and plugging faster.
