Scope items vs. bidder items

Scope items describe the work you intend to buy. Bidder items are lines from each subcontractor's proposal, in their own words. Level Bids connects the two.

There are two kinds of lines on a scope sheet, and it helps to know which is which.

  • Scope items are yours. They describe the work you intend to buy.
  • Bidder items are theirs. They are the lines pulled from each subcontractor’s proposal, in the bidder’s own words.

Level Bids connects bidder items to your scope items. Use View in Bid on any bidder item to see exactly where in the proposal it came from.

Tip: Even a confident match is worth a quick check on higher-value items.
