Assign a bid package to a teammate
Assign each bid package an owner from your project team. The assignee gets a notification and a to-do list entry. Assignment sets ownership, not access.
Every bid package can have an assignee. Assigning a package puts it on that person’s to-do list and sends them a notification.
- Open the bid package from BidGrid.
- Choose an assignee from your project team.
- The package now appears on their home page to-do list.
You can still work on a package that is assigned to someone else. Assignment is about ownership, not access.
Tip: Imported BuildingConnected packages arrive with the package lead already set as the assignee.

Create a bid package
A bid package is one trade or scope you bid out, with its own scope sheet and bidders. In BidGrid, add several at once by cost code or trade name.
Let Connie build your bid packages
Connie sets up bid packages from your plans and specs, or creates the ones you list from cost codes, a takeoff, or a plain list of trades.
Build bid packages from plans or a takeoff
Upload plans and specs, then set up bid packages in BidGrid. Setup adds one package per trade, using your team's typical packages or a default trade list.
